This road has been created by people who love it, as a comfortable shared space for the future citizens of Asahikawa.
Ryokudo works
In June 2015, under the ADOPT Program, part of Ryokudo was placed under the management of the citizens.
Furthermore, a year earlier seminars were held with specialists, proposed trees were planted by the city and the “Road of Five Senses Project” was started.
Horticultural activities are still being carried out with an aim to reproduce the beloved flowering plants of Hokkaido fields.
