This road has been created by people who love it, as a comfortable shared space for the future citizens of Asahikawa.
Ryokudo works
The Beginning of Ryokudo Works
July 2013 - The “Seventh Avenue Ryokudo Redesign Project” was started to reimagine the charm and fascination of Ryokudo.

August 2013 - The Ryokudo Cafe was established. Here, nature, humanity and culture can be properly observed in a relaxing space with ample greenery and a comfort that can’t be found at home or at work, where one can breathe freely. We want to cherish that kind of space.
June 2015 – Under the ADOPT Program, the management of a section of Seventh Avenue (7th & 8th Street) was shifted to the responsibility of citizens. The “Road of Five Senses Project” was started to make a green road where one can enjoy walking between trees in a space where flowers bloom, fruit ripens, and fragrances abound.

The Ryokudo will continue to be maintained by those who love it as a comfortable shared space for the use of future citizens of Asahikawa.
